My Short Bio

After a decade working in front of the camera as actor Downes shifted his focus behind the scenes as a writer and director.

BORN MARCH 18. 1983 Downes was raised in Canada and began acting as a teenager in Toronto where he appeared in a number of television series and independent films. At 16 he starred alongside Hayden Christensen in the teen drama series "Higher Ground" before moving to Los Angeles. Over the next few years he guest starred on several TV series and was a regular recurring on the hit Disney series "Lizzie McGuire" and Showtime's "The L Word".

Since moving behind the camera Downes has worked on several reality programs including "First Time Design" and "Million Dollar Listing" while developing his skills as a writer and director. In late 2010 he formed the production company DEK'd Out Productions and produced several shorts including the award winning film-noir "DICE" and made his writing and directorial feature debut with the independent character drama "10/10".
